Visiting the website

This is a public product and information website with no visitor accounts, checkout or contact form. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical requests to deliver and protect the site, including network and device information.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits and improve the website. It reports aggregate information such as pages visited, referrers, approximate location, browser and device type. Vercel describes this analytics service as using no third-party cookies, with visitor session identifiers discarded after 24 hours. That is the session identifier’s lifetime, not a claim that every hosting log or aggregate statistic is deleted after 24 hours. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation and privacy policy.

GitHub statistics and local storage

Pages showing updating star and fork counts request public repository metadata directly from GitHub. GitHub receives the network request. The site caches only the public star and fork counts and their check time in your browser’s local storage to reduce repeated requests. This is not a visitor identifier. You can remove it by clearing site data; dated counts still appear if the update is unavailable. Repository traffic totals are separately collected by the site operator and published as dated aggregate snapshots. Visitors do not need GitHub access, and no GitHub credentials are sent to the browser.

Videos and external links

Product footage is served from this site. Embedded YouTube players load only after you click a video preview, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. Playing a video connects to YouTube; its own data practices then apply. Other links, including GitHub, social profiles and hardware shops, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Hardware purchase links marked as affiliate links include a referral code. The shop may use it to attribute a purchase. See the disclosure beside those links; this site does not receive your payment details.

When you email

Your email address, message and any information you choose to send are used to respond and handle your enquiry. Email is processed through the email providers involved in delivery. Please send only what is needed for your question. Our retention principle is to keep messages only as long as needed for the enquiry, related follow-up or applicable legal obligations. Contact Niclas to request deletion or ask about a specific message.

Your choices and rights

For necessary website operation and ordinary enquiries, our legal basis is legitimate interests: providing a reliable, secure website and responding to people who contact us. If your enquiry involves steps towards a contract at your request, that processing is based on those pre-contractual steps. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing, or request a portable copy of your data. Contact the address above.
